100,000 Homes Campaign Houses Over 100,000 Homeless

Dear Campaign Supporters and Partners:

This month, the 100,000 Homes Campaign exceeded its goal of housing 100,000 homeless individuals by July 2014. As part of the 100,000 Homes Campaign, the Campaign to End Homelessness in Downtown San Diego has been proud to contribute to this effort since its inception four years ago in summer 2010.

Locally, the San Diego 25 Cities Initiative team recently launched its first 100-Day Campaign and is working toward housing 150 homeless veterans and 100 chronically homeless individuals by mid-September 2014.

We are making significant progress in ending homelessness and would like to thank California voters for passing Proposition 41, which creates new opportunities to house homeless veterans. We will continue to report on the progress of the 100,000 Homes Campaign and the local 25 Cities Initiative in the upcoming months.

Next month, we will celebrate the Downtown Campaign’s fourth anniversary and look forward to sharing with you the highlights of the Leadership Team’s work in the past four years.
