Mayor’s Proposed Budget Emphasizes Solutions for Homelessness

mayorMayor Kevin Faulconer recently released his proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2015, which includes funding for permanent housing solutions that link homeless individuals to housing and supportive services.

Mayor Faulconer’s budget preserved City Council President Todd Gloria’s proposed $1.9 million for homelessness efforts that includes San Diego’s winter shelter programs, Homeless Management Information System (HMIS); San Diego Police Department’s (SDPD) Serial Inebriate Program, SDPD Homeless Outreach Team, Neil Good Day Center, Homeless check-in center, and Connections Housing.

Faulconer acknowledged Gloria for leading efforts to fund permanent housing solutions for homeless individuals and families.
