The Corporation for Supportive Housing (CSH) completed the Transitional Housing (TH) Assessment and Recommendations Report to assist communities in making the most efficient use of their existing TH.
This assessment provides an analysis of 19 TH projects in San Diego County and their preparedness to be converted to Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH), Rapid Re-housing (RRH), or High Performing TH. According to the report, the 19 TH projects consist of 224 TH units and 577 beds, which represents 9% of the units and 16% of the beds throughout San Diego County.
Through this analysis of 19 TH projects, CSH found that 16 units could be converted to PSH, 54 to RRH, and 154 to High Performing TH.
CSH recommends that San Diego consider converting some of these units to create a more balanced system that caters to the different needs of homeless individuals and families.
