100-Day Campaign Achieves Goal of Housing 75 Veterans!

As of this week, the 100-Day Campaign to House Veterans has reached 100% of its goal of permanently housing 75 homeless veterans in 100 days!  At least 7 of these formerly homeless individuals were from the downtown streets, furthering the progress downtown.  Having reached this significant milestone several weeks before their target 100-Day date of August 17, the Campaign partners are committed to continuing to maintain a housing placement rate of 1 chronically homeless veteran per day.  The 100-Day Campaign to House Veterans kicked off in San Diego on May 9 when regional administrators from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Veterans Administration (VA), the U.S. Interagency Council on the Homeless (USICH) and Community Solutions convened local stakeholders in a rapid results strategy “boot camp, which resulted in this ambitious action plan.  The 100-Day Campaign’s progress is truly remarkable and we hope this collaboration can be used as a model moving forward.  Congratulations to all the partners involved on this amazing achievement!
